Registration of Hawaii Medical Marijuana Users Grows
In a recent report issued by the Hawaiian Department of Public Safety--Narcotics Enforcement Division--showed registered Hawaii Medical Marijuana users up significantly in recent years.
Since 2007, the number of patients registered for medicinal use of cannabis grew over three fold from approximately 2,500 to over 8,000 in 2010. The national news and acceptance the Medical Marijuana industry has received over the recent years seems to inspire confidence in qualified individuals--thus giving them the strength to speak with their physicians regarding the health benefits. Congruently, physicians across the Hawaii islands may have also received the confidence to overcome the stigma of cannabis and recommended it for appropriate patients. As the acceptance of Medical Marijuana becomes more mainstream the number of registered Hawaii Medical Marijuana users should see continued growth.
