New Proposal Less Restrictive on Dispensaries in Flagstaff
The Flagstaff city council will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 12th at the Flagstaff City Hall to review the most recent proposal for dispensary regulations in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The initial proposal for regulation was rejected by the council as being too restrictive. The previous proposal required that dispensaries remain outside of a 1000 ft. radius of any protected location (ie: schools, churches, libraries, parks, child care centers, and existing treatment centers). If accepted, the new proposal will allow dispensaries to operate as long as they remain 500 ft. away from any protected location.
Also addressed in the proposal are required distance of 2000 ft. between dispensaries; a maximum size of 3000 sq. ft. for any dispensary, and hours of operation for 8am - 7pm.
