Michigan - Grow my own question

I live in Michigan and have been convicted of possession over 15 yrs ago. I am now a qualified medical marijuana patient and I am wondering if I am able to grow my own plants or if I have to appoint someone my caregiver. |

Comments (2)I am also from Michigan, and have had this question posed to me a number of times in the past. I know that having a possession charge on your record does not necessarily exempt you from the Michigan Medical Marijuana Caregiver program. It would have to depend on the specifics of your charge, as I know that felony possession charges may complicate your attempt to produce your own plants.
Although, depending on the amount in possession and the details of your charges, I would have to belive that fifteen years far exceeds the Michigan statute of limitations on most criminal misdemeanors and some felonies. Best thing to do would be to inquire at your local compassion club, or consult a medical marijuana attorney, many MMJ attornies offer free consultations, and I am sure that they would be more than willing to help you with your situation.
