There is help available at no cost! Go to your local chapter of Marijuana Anonymous - find it at: http://www.marijuana-anonymous.org/meetings.shtml There are schedules for both landed and online meetings. This is the mission statement:

Marijuana Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share our experience, strength, and hope with each other that we may solve our common problem and help others to recover from marijuana addiction.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using marijuana. There are no dues or fees for membership. We are self-supporting through our own contributions. MA is not affiliated with any religious or secular institution or organization and has no opinion on any outside controversies or causes. Our primary purpose is to stay free of marijuana and to help the marijuana addict who still suffers achieve the same freedom. We can do this by practicing our suggested twelve steps of recovery and by being guided as a group by our twelve traditions.

Marijuana Anonymous uses the basic 12 Steps of Recovery founded by Alcoholics Anonymous, because it has been proven that the 12 Step Recovery program works!

Best wishes! It really does work - if you work it! AA meetings are wonderful, as are NA meetings, too.

I think you can do some alternative while quitting but I am not sure if it was effective. For 10years using it was so hard. But why not? Try to keep yourself busy and do some proper exercised and avoid as long as you can. But don't do it like instantly do it slowly.

quitting marijuana is no different from quitting any habit we usually do. it's never easy and nobody says so. it's a big challenge to face to. it's very important to have motivations to achieve such goal.

i agree! it's not easy but it's not impossible either. there may be a lot of withdrawal symptoms that you'll have to face, sometimes worse but these are all temporary and will fade away in time.

expect the unexpected. quitting seems worse at first, but if you will just give it a time, it will get much better. stick with it and you will be happy you did.

well 10 years was way long to me. well don't abruptly stop. it will make your body hunger for more cannabis. just do it slowly so that your body would recognise some sort of changes and do less complication.

i think its a proper way to do. do it slowly just to prevent yourself from complication as what nick says. you body sort off addicted to cannabis and by stopping abruptly will cause your body abrupt changes and its not good.

quitting can produce psychological and physical withdrawal symptoms. common symptoms are: insomnia, nightmares, anxiety, loss of apetite. but then again, these are just common symptoms. long term use of marijuana may have more negative effects.

long term use of marijuana may have serious negative side effects upon withdrawal. i suggest you get some professional help.
