What if I am under this certain doctor-prescribed medication and I would like to try marijuana medication too, would there be any complications? |

Comments (2)i think it is whithin your doctor's responsibility to adjust that medication. you should speak to him/her about this for further information.
doctor-prescribed medication when mixed with marijuana medication if not prescribed by your doctor can be very dangerous. that is not a good option so i wouldn't suggest that.
You don't have to listen to your Doctor all the time...life is in your hands actually. That is just a note of encouragement. I feel very strongly from my own experience that from what I have heard from other Doctors in regards to prescription drugs, they are not good for me. I am disabled. I suffered from them. The only thing that helps is medical marijuana in some form which I have been prescribed. I would say that if you think that these medicines you are taking are not good then you should truly get to realize that the drugs they are giving you don't control your mind. They don't "affect a cure." Modern science even proves that it is attitutude that mostly is the contributing factor. You may have to experience these forced medications as a result of actions and propensities, seeds from the past. The best protection is to understand that it is not your choice to take these medications and try to understand why. They are not good for you ultimately. If they were, they would help you all the time and you would not be questioning them. Sometimes they are harmful. I suggest you find an alternative. That is what someone who cares for your wellbeing would advise. An alternative is very good. Usually western medicine masks the symptoms or gives a temporary benefit. I can tell you for certain that it does not actually affect the mind itself. Everything comes from the mind. Even medicine. Anything else is wrong. Wrong diagnosis, wrong approach, wrong science, etc. There is no self existent disease. There is no permanent disease. Nothing can truly obstruct the clarity of the mind. It is like a light. I hope this has helped. Try to find support about the issue with others and evaluate your notion of how and why medication works using this wisdom. Sometimes medication works sometimes it doesn't. Can you trust it? What really works is the mind. I suggest you learn about the mind, how it functions and how everything is a creation of the mind, your life, and your sickness, and happiness also. Then nothing can affect the mind. You will be able to see that these things come and go like clouds through the sky. That sky is your mind. Don't mistake the clouds for the open expanse. Its like they say, sometimes the day is cloudy but the sun still is there. That is the way to get over your sadness. It is really the idea that things are permanent and do not change. Of course things will change. One way to think is that you are the one responsible for the change by the things you do. There will be a result. It does not come from outside of you though. So how could taking a medication ever change things? If it works, its because you created that effect to begin with. There is no medicine. It is like your perception, it is not just imagination that creates these appearances. They are real because they do not exist...they are empty potential, like space. Space is boundless. Do not depend on the drug hype that something outside of you will help. I promise you that is impossible. Only inside is truth and clarity. That reflects what is outside. When a person feels nervous about the truth inside they feel nervous outside also. That is a sign that the material world is not permanent. It is not lasting and worthwile to hold onto. Tell me, does cake give you permanent happiness? Can you have eternal cake? The problem with mind drugs is that they masquerade as eternal antidotes because there is a prevalent notion that the mind is permanent and subject to manipulation by external/internal stimuli based on research. You must prove to yourself that nothing can change your mind. Your mind is rock solid and perfectly good. You are not your thoughts. Have you heard the saying "thoughts without a thinker?" It is relevent here. The thinking is what the drugs do to you...the effect, temporarily. But where is the thinker? If you try to find where the thinker is apart from the drugs' thoughts you will not find it. Therefore the drugs do not bring a lasting happiness result. Only you create that result. The problem is that you may become dependent on a false sense of security that mistakes this thinking for yourself and then you forget your mind and the potential that it holds. Don't let anyone here tell you you don't have the potential to do something. You can do anything. You can stop the drugs. The drugs are like a gateway. Some people might not agree with this. That is because it questions their sense of reality itself. If you knew reality you would not think that there was a demarcation between thinking and the mind. Actually, thought and mind are the same. But you don't understand this. That is why it is important to learn. I could give you many good reasons not to take these drugs. Not to listen to your Doctor. Not to go to hospital. Not to do many things. But you are the one who is the creator of your own delusion. You see...you can't blame the drugs once you are taking them. Thats why it is important to stop them. I don't know if it is so easy as one may think! Maybe running away is one choice. But it is difficult. You must stop the projection of the drugs as self-existent. They do not come from you, nor do they not come from you. Where do they come from? Not you. You are not your body. These drugs work based on biopsychiatric conditioning. If there is no body, there is not drug. The drugs do not effect the mind. The mind is in its natural state, pure. So what do you have to worry about if you were to stop the drugs or to take the drugs? When you take the drugs, you are planting a seed in your mind, your heart. Why does medication work for one person and not for another? Is it because the creator made a better medicine than the other? No. It can't be. You see...its a deception. Get in to your brain that these options of a good medicine and a bad medicine don't even exist! They are dependent...inter-related. You must see? How can a good medicine truly exist when there is a bad medicine too? Is life just unfair? Why does one person get the good medicine and one person gets the bad medicine? Is it just chance? Or are we fated to a life of uncertainty? I tell you the truth. There is no good medicine. That is what we are truly looking for. And it does not exist at all...it is not possible to create it. Because there is bad and good, there can be no absolute. Because there is chance and fate, there can be no guarantee. So do you trust in life now? Is life going to last forever? You may believe it will...but someday we are going to die. But is that certain too? If it is true that good and bad don't exist truly then it is also true that unhappiness and misery don't exist for certain. We can follow a path that leads to true bliss. It is by not believing that everything is bad and doomed, and it is not believing that everything is not going to take us where we need to go. Because there is a certain suffering, there is certain release from suffering. It is not a decision. It is a truth. So reject suffering. Suffering is believing in eternal happiness. Eternal happiness is believing in an end. An end to misery, an end to medication. An end to Doctors' orders. You can do it. It begins by saying "it ends here." No more! I won't do it. I know that if I do this one thing it is not stopping my suffering. Taking this pill will not stop my suffering...forever. Only stopping the mind's creations will stop delusion. Stop delusion, and you are liberated. You heart is free. No one is telling you what to do! Take this medication, don't do that, do this...and then you are thinking to yourself should I do this or shouldn't I do this? You can't just pretend that the person isn't there telling you that. You must stop the thought formation. Mind's creation. And really, you are creating them. All the bad times and all the good times. One person hears the same person say something that you hear to be good as bad sounding. Who is responsible. You say, due to conditioning, oh, I think that so and so is responsible. That is not taking responsibility. YOu must realize that since this person is empty of good quality or bad quality you are the one creating them and you must hold that view that sees that this good or bad appearance is a seed. It is something you are experiencing, no one else. And the same is true of your whole world. Your world could be actually empty. But someone else sees the world differently. Who is right? The right answer here is that you are seeing this because it doesn't have any nature of permanence. IT is passing away right before your eyes...how can it be real? Moment to moment it is changing. That person who says the world is good could next say that the world is bad. You must realize that this is not real! IT is deceptive. So these images that come up...they come from your heart. When that person says the world is bad it is not real...it is your own analysis...conclusion...belief. When they say it is good...what sense does it make now? Anything that is good is helpful, anything that is bad is harmful. You can't say that your belief is nonexistent, it is just impermanent. What does it turn into you may wonder? It could turn into something good or it could turn into something bad. When you understand that the confusion and conflict in your life is neither good nor bad but actually impermanent then you are a success. Good things don't cause you to be sad. Bad things don't cause you to think that they are all bad. See, you can see the bright side of things. And with that your whole attitutude changes. Its not all about not being bad anymore. You can loosen up your insecurity. And when you loosen up your insecurity you have more freedom. Really, that feeling of being free is like your true self. Would your true self take some drug to change your true self? Or would your true self take some drug to change your non-existent self? That nonexistent self is the one that can never be changed because it doesn't exist. Why try to change something that can't change? The goal is to find an end to suffering.
Problem may occur if you do some mix up in medication, it can cause you into serious deafness, blindness or even worst. I'm not a pro here but I can suggest that you must see a doctor for further information about mixing it up while on medication.
I agree with you. And I think those deafness, blindness, and other side effect won't occur by using marijuana. I think those are the complication of medicine you might taking then mixing it up with marijuana. Don't self meditate its not good.
Consult a physician first before doing something that may lead to worsen your situation. Try things one at a time. If you decide to try marijuana, don't juggle it around with some prescribed medicine.
You have to fix your mind of what you are going to do with your illness and not to abuse taking up a doctor-prescribed medication and marijuana at the same time. Seek some advice to a nearest physician for better understanding.
stick to your doctor's prescribed medication, if it doesn't work then maybe you should try the marijuana medication. don't try and mix them up together because it will cause complication and may cause a lot of problem in the long run.
If you want to take marijuana as medication and been prescribe by your doctor, then it surely be safe. There are some side effect but not a complication. Medical Cannabis is herbal and herbal are natural medicine so there is no harmful ingredients that can cause complication. And your doctor will advice you a dosage that you must follow.
you should try asking your doctor first if you're compatible for that marijuana medications too. he should know better than anyone else. after all, there's no harm in trying.
Of course its not proper to mixed up medical cannabis and medicine that being prescribe by your doctor. You might experience over dose of medication. Be careful of what you are taking cause it might lead you into crucial situation.
