Sometimes we have a random drug test at work. If you used marijuana for medical purposes and undergo a drug test, would you be charged for that? |

Comments (2)I think there is no charges against you if you are able to present any proff that your in medication. And of course you would tell them so that they are aware that your in medication.
If you used it for medication then there is no chances of charging you. As long as you present any prescription that will prove that you are in medication process.
When you say charged, do you mean by law enforcement? Even with out a prescription employers generally do not send results to the police, the would just fire you. In terms of medical marijuana, you would want to check with your employer because they could still have a policy against it not allowing you to be under the influence while at work and if so you could still get fired if you were using while at work. You should be fine if you aren't using it while working but double check to be sure.
if it is for medical purposes, i don't think you will be charged for any case. just make sure you'll be keeping up papers and prescriptions for legal evidences.
it depends on the country where you reside if medical marijuana is legal or not. if it is legal, then what's the point on charging if a random drug test detects a presence of marijuana in your body?! if it is legal, no need to present some prescriptions.
I disagree with what are you trying to say here. If its legal then is it okay to take medical cannabis? So it means you are into drug addiction. Not medical purposes, If you are in medication then you must present prescription in order to show them that you are in medication.
if the country and workplace you are in is a place where marijuana is legal, then you shouldn't worry of any random drug test. whether medication or not, prescription is not much needed anymore. i think that's what kim is trying to say.
