Am I stuck with my current caregiver/dispensary?

I recently got registered as a MMJ patient in Colorado. When I went to the Dr, they asked if I wanted to make their dispensary my caregiver. Not knowing any better, I agreed. After visiting their dispensary, and seeing what a joke it was, I would now like to change my caregiver to a better dispensary, to take advantage of the 'membership' offers they have. Just for the record, and I don't know how any of you feel about this, but I think that a dispensary should not be operated by a number of pimple faced kids who are so stoned that they can't complete a sentence without stuttering the word dude. They should also be knowledgeable of the product, and be able to make suggestions based on your particular needs or desires. At the clinic, I was given a discounted rate for the Dr. visit, by signing up them as my caregiver. Am I bound by anything that says I can't change it after paying my fee for the Dr. visit? Seems like a scam, to try to get patients to think that they now have to stay with them as their primary caregiver. So, can I re-assign my caregiver to another dispensary whenever I want? What is the process to do this? Thanks |

It is recommended with all the cons these days that you send a notarized, certified letter demanding the scumbags to “cease and desist” doing any form of “caregiving” for that Patient and send a notarized copy to the Dept. Of Health as well!
These dispensaries are all a total rip off! The plants belong to YOU! Not them! If your caregiver will not give you a portion of the yield of YOUR OWN PLANTS without charge, you are GETTING RIPPED OFF!
Think about it! Six plants should yield way more than TEN POUNDS over the course of a year!!! Why aren’t you getting an ounce or two of that monthly as part of your deal with your caregivers? If you are paying for all your meds, you got ripped off!
You the Patient control YOUR medicine and YOUR plants! Find an honest caregiver that offers a portion of the yield of your plants back to you. A fair deal is 60/40 with the caregiver getting the 60%.
Don’t get ripped off by going to these fortune making places for the owner known as dispensaries! I got ripped off by Patient’s Choice of Colorado and I do not recommend going to ANY of the dispensaries on South Broadway in Denver!

Yes you can switch caregivers anytime you want, there is a state form to fill out and send in that allows you to change caregivers.

definitely yes you can! it's up to the patient to assign caregiver whomever they want. it is illegal for a doctor to refer to dispensaries.
